John is a Blue Tick Hound and a highly trained hunter. He is happiest working in the field, looking for something to "tree". For me he is one of the most profound faces I have had the pleasure to paint. I worked on John's portrait as a demonstration for a Safari Club International show; his presence drew a crowd every day.
